Abstract

Financial records represent a formal records or written reports of financial activities of an entity to quantify financial performance and financial strength. Most of micro enterprises under Centre for Business and Entrepreneurship (CBER) UTHM is currently using manual records bookkeeping system to keep the financial records. This cause time consuming and human errors. Hence, financial records management system for micro enterprises under CBER is developed. This system is able to simplify invoice records and quotation collection. Financial records management system also can eliminate accounting errors and minimizing records keeping redundancy. The system is developed by using software Brackets, Xampp and PHP programming through agile methodology guide. This system is expected to help micro enterprises to keep track and manage financial records efficiently.

Abstract

In the fast-paced changing world, the Internet keeps people connected to each other. Online shopping has changed the way people buy things, and so does how people book flight tickets and movie passes. Cakelicious Web App is another interesting story of how we revolutionize the way people book wedding cakes the way they love it. The system is designed to replace the current manual booking methods used by Dr. Munie’s Kitchen for managing cakes order, thus is more efficient and effective, as well as meets the user requirements. Prototyping methodology approach has been used to develop and test the system in a systematic manner, which includes the development phases of planning, design, and testing and implementation. This system is developed using the PHP programming language, MySQL database, and runs on an Apache web server.

Abstract

Attendance system University Tun Hussien Onn Malaysia is the system to record, and monitor the staff attendance to the daily work. This project is to design develop and implement attendance system using radio frequency identification technology. This technology is divided into two types which are system passive and system active. The proposed system used the system passive to record staff attendance. Frequency identification technology will read the staffs tag and the attendance are recorded automatically and store it in database. The proposed system has several securities feature that can prevent security breaches which is captcha and audit trail. The advantage of proposed system is can differentiate between the human input and robot input and record all the user activity when access to the system.

Abstract

With the prominent needs for security and reliable mode of identification in biometric system. Iris recognition has become reliable method for personal identification nowadays. The system has been used for years in many commercial and government applications that allow access control in places such as office, laboratory, armoury, automated teller machines (ATMs), and border control in airport. The aim of the paper is to review iris recognition algorithms. Iris recognition system consists of four main stages which are segmentation, normalization, feature extraction and matching. Based on the findings, the Hough transform, rubber sheet model, wavelet, Gabor filter, and hamming distance are the most common used algorithms in iris recognition stages.  This shows that, the algorithms have the potential and capability to enhanced iris recognition system.

Abstract

Telemarketing is a type of direct marketing where a salesperson contacts the customers to sell products or services over the phone. The database of prospective customers comes from direct marketing database. It is important for the company to predict the set of customers with highest probability to accept the sales or offer based on their personal characteristics or behavior during shopping. Recently, companies have started to resort to data mining approaches for customer profiling. This project focuses on helping banks to increase the accuracy of their customer profiling through classification as well as identifying a group of customers who have a high probability to subscribe to a long term deposit. In the experiments, three classification algorithms are used, which are Naïve Bayes, Random Forest, and Decision Tree. The experiments measured accuracy percentage, precision and recall rates and showed that classification is useful for predicting customer profiles and increasing telemarketing sales.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is defining the main factors influencing on decision of management system on sensitive data in cloud. The framework is proposed to enhance management information systems decision on sensitive information in cloud environment. The structured interview with several security experts working on cloud computing security to investigate the main objective of framework and suitability of instrument, a pilot study conducts to test the instrument. The validity and reliability test results expose that study can be expanded and lead to final framework validation. This framework using multilevel related to Authorization, Authentication, Classification and identity anonymity, and save and verify, to enhance management information system decision on sensitive data in cloud.

Abstract

Watermarking is a method to digitally sign a product to provide authentication and prevent copyright infringement to proving the ownership of a product and provides integrity for companies to protect their product. In this study, dual layer watermark that applies two different watermarking techniques at each layer is presented. The first layer applies the LSB Substitution technique while the second layer uses the Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) technique. This implies greater integrity as it contains of two signatures in providing authentication.

Abstract

In 2016, the National Institute of Health reported that 26% of 8th graders, 47% of 10th graders, and 64% of 12th graders have all had experience in consuming alcoholic drinks. This finding indicates an accelerating trend in alcohol use among school students, hence a growing concerns among the public. To address this issue, this paper is set to model the alcohol consumption data among the secondary school students and attempt to predict the alcohol consumption behaviors among them. A set of classification experiments are carried out and the classification accuracies are compared between two variations of neural network algorithms; a self-tuning multilayer perceptron classifier (AutoMLP) against the standard MLP using the student alcohol consumption dataset. It is found that AutoMLP produced better accuracy of 64.54% than neural network with 61.78%.

Abstract

The increasing of energy cost and also environmental concern on green computing gaining more and more attention. Power and energy are a primary concern in the design and implementing green computing. Green is of the main step to make the computing world friendly with the environment.  In this paper, an analysis on the comparison of green computer with other computing in E-learning environment had been done. The results show that green computing is friendly and less energy consuming. Therefore, this paper provide some suggestions in overcoming one of main challenging problems in environment problems which need to convert normally computing into green computing. In this paper also, we try to find out some specific area which consumes energy as compared to green computing in E –learning centre in Malaysia. The simulation results show that more than 30% of energy reduction by using green computing.

Abstract

For the past 20 years various researches regarding software aging have been conducted. Software aging is the situation in which the accumulation of errors occurring in operational software system that has run for a long time that may lead to performance degradation, resource depletion and eventually causing the software to crash or hang [1]. David Parnas divided software aging into two categories: 1) the failure of the software to adapt with environment that is dynamic and 2) the result of the changes itself [2]. Factors that can affects software aging can be classified into several categories: 1) functional, 2) human, 3) product and 4) environment [3]. In general, the factors that affect software aging can be divided into internal and external factors. The main objectives of this paper are to briefly describe the definition of software aging and also ICTS governance. In addition   to that, this paper also compiles the software aging factors that are being investigated by previous researchers. The need for future research regarding ICTS governance and Software aging also determined at the end of this paper.
